Carpet Cleaning

We provide a Hot Water Extraction method using our Airflex Storm to clean your carpets, this service is best suited to clean deeply embedded dirt within your carpet, as it can reach more of the carpet fibres than any other method. We use carefully selected preconditioning agents and specialist rinsing solutions. These are projected into the fibres with hot water, steam at a very high controlled pressure and vacuumed at the same time with a very high-powered Twin Vac machine.

We also provide Very Low Moisture Cleaning (Dry Cleaning) method using professional powders that are sprinkled over the carpet, then activated with our agitation machine, which are brushed into the fibres, which then crystallize and grab onto the soil. This is then vacuumed with our industrial vacuum. This method is best suited if you want to use your carpets immediately as it is zero drying time, the results are equally amazing. This is great during the winter months when you do not want to have windows open for ventilation.

Both these methods are professionally recognised and have different advantages. Dry Carpet cleaning is a great system, especially if you require your carpet to be dried immediately. Hot water extraction removes deeply embedded dirt and moreover, hot water kills numerous bacteria and prevents your carpet from becoming a breeding ground, this is priced at a higher rate due to the set up and pack up time. The drying time is longer, but we have strong powdered vacs and use specialist air movers to help speed up drying times.

Step 1: Pre-Inspection

To IICRC & NCCA standards, we always survey and inspect your carpet before any cleaning starts. Analysing the carpet fully, inspecting the carpets current condition and history, fibre type, construction, as well as identifying soiling conditions, fibre damage and potential permanent stains. We carry out specialist fibre and chemistry tests to prevent pile damage, shrinkage, browning and dye-bleeds.

Step 2: Set Up, Protection and Pre-vacuum

Whilst setting up for the clean, we ensure we protect your other furnishings throughout if they remain in the room, as well as taking care with hardwood floors and skirting boards. We always ask for movable furniture and damageable goods to be removed prior to the clean. However, we can work with you if you want help with this and require this as an extra service if the furniture is moveable. We cannot move goods that are breakable/damageable. We then complete a thorough vacuum using our industrial strength vacuum cleaner to remove as much dry soil as possible.

Step 3: Pre-spray, Pre-spot (if necessary) and Agitation

A preconditioning agent is applied to break down oily soils and other spots with heavier soiling such as traffic lanes for a complete clean. The pre-spray will help suspend insoluble soils, which may otherwise be re-deposited on the fibre during the rinse process. Please read an article on our news page for extra information on why applying pre-spray is such an important step in the cleaning process. Once the pre-spray has had a little dwell time, we then use our agitation machine which helps open the carpet fibres and enable the pre-spray to reach all the fibres of the carpet.

Step 4: Extract and Rinse

Once the soil has been professionally loosened, hot water, steam and carefully mixed solutions are driven into your carpet using extremely high pressure and in the same motion a high-powered vacuum removes the hot water along with all the dirt that has been rinsed away. The pressure and heat are controlled to prevent your carpet from being over-wet.

We use the Airflex Storm which is an incredible machine with up to 800psi high performance water pump and with super-powered parallel vacuum, along with our turbo air movers this will drastically speed up the drying time of your carpets.

Step 5: Post Spot Treatment (if required)

If any spots are not removed during the cleaning process, speciality spotting techniques are used. If there are any stains that require specialist Spot/Stain Treatment and Removal techniques, (this would be discussed in the survey prior to the clean), we can offer stain treatment and removal at an extra cost.

Step 6: Protection is added (optional)

A fluorocarbon wool safe protector treatment. This is a stain and soil resistant product added after the cleaning process is complete, that protects your carpet against water-based and oil-based stains and repels dry soils. It aids in improving the carpets appearance after vacuuming and if there are any spillages, gives you enough time to treat the stain yourself.

Step 7: Post Groom

Your carpet is groomed with a professional groomer, so that the pile of your carpet is reset when we leave. Post grooming helps the pile dry faster and in the right position, which further improves the appearance of your carpet.

Step 8: Post Cleaning Inspection

We will go through your carpet with you to discuss the cleaning results and make sure that you are completely pleased with our work and provide you with some aftercare advice. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know during this time. We want to be sure that you are 100% satisfied before we leave.

Dry Carpet Cleaning: (zero dry time - Steps 1 to 2 are the same as above)

Step 1: Pre-Inspection

To IICRC & NCCA standards, we always survey and inspect your carpet before any cleaning starts. Analysing the carpet fully, inspecting the carpets current condition and history, fibre type, construction, as well as identifying soiling conditions, fibre damage and potential permanent stains. We carry out specialist fibre and chemistry tests to prevent pile damage, shrinkage, browning and dye-bleeds.

Step 2: Set Up, Protection and Pre-vacuum

We always ask for movable furniture and damageable goods to be removed prior to the clean. However, we can work with you if you want help with this and require this as an extra service if the furniture is moveable. We cannot move goods that are breakable/damageable. We then complete a thorough vacuum using our industrial strength vacuum cleaner to remove as much dry soil as possible.

Step 3: Pre-spray and Pre-spot (if necessary) and Apply Specialist Powder

A preconditioning agent can be lightly applied to break down oily soils and other spots with heavier soiling such as traffic lanes for a complete clean but only in areas that are needed. Once the pre-spray has had a little dwell time, we then sprinkle the encapsulation powder mix evenly onto the carpet surface. The powder is then brushed and worked into the carpet pile using a specialist machine. This allows the powder to contact soil and capture the dirt as the powder crystalizes.

Step 4: Thorough Vacuum

Once the soil has been professionally loosened it is removed by using our industrial strength vacuum to finish the clean.

Step 5: Post Groom

Your carpet is groomed with a professional groomer, so that the pile of your carpet is reset when we leave. Post grooming helps the pile dry faster and in the right position, which further improves the appearance of your carpet.

Step 6: Post Cleaning Inspection

We will go through your carpet with you to discuss the cleaning results and make sure that you are completely pleased with our work and provide you with some aftercare advice. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know during this time. We want to be sure that you are 100% satisfied before we leave.

Upholstery Cleaning

We use industry approved cleaning methods and always ensure we explain fully prior to the clean to our customers. Upholstery has so many variations and all fabrics are different, so we will always talk with our customer about the best method of cleaning for their furniture. Here is how we carry out our service.

Step 1: Inspect, Survey and Test

To IICRC & NCCA standards, we always survey and inspect your fabric before any cleaning starts. Analysing the fabric fibres fully, inspecting the current condition and history, fabric type, as well as identifying soiling conditions, fibre damage and potential permanent stains. We carry out specialist fabric tests to identify the fibre, prevent shrinkage, distortion, and dye bleeds.

Step 2: Set Up, Protection and Pre-vacuum

Whilst setting up for the clean, we ensure we protect your other furnishings and carpet/flooring throughout if required. We then complete a thorough vacuum using our industrial strength vacuum cleaner to remove as much dry soil as possible.

Step 3: Cleaning Method

The correct cleaning method is chosen, best suited for your fabric and which is most recommended, this depends on the fabric itself and if the fabric is more suited for a preventative treatment or salvage treatment, depends on the severity of soiling and if you prefer a low moisture clean to a hot water extraction clean. We will either, pre-treat, low moisture or hot water extract clean your fabric.

Step 4: Treat Spots and Stains

If required we may use additional products and specialist tools, to help treat and remove stains.

Step 5: Post Groom and Ventilate

We restore your fabric with a neutralising rinse if needed and brush/groom your fabric. If the fabric was more heavily soiled, it will need longer to dry, so we will ventilate and use our industrial strength air movers (not needed with low moisture method). We never replace the cushions until they are fully dry, otherwise odours, bacteria, mould and mildew can emerge.

Step 6: Post Cleaning Assessment

We will go through your fabric/furnishings with you to discuss the cleaning results and make sure that you are completely pleased with our work and provide you with some aftercare advice. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know during this time. We want to be sure that you are 100% satisfied before we leave.

Spot/Stain and Odour Treatment and Removal

We have specialist products, tools, and equipment to ensure we can treat and remove stains from your carpet and upholstery. We have undergone expert training and only use the finest products, ensuring we have the best chance of treating the stain. We can treat a variety of stains from food, drinks, oils such as make up or shoe polish, to bodily fluids such as blood and pet stains. We can use deodorising agents to kill the bacteria that causes unpleasant smells, keeping your home clean, safe, sanitised and smelling fresh. Please read below to find out how we improve the appearance or remove spots and stains.

Whilst we usually can remove the majority of stains, we do not ever guarantee removal due to the fact some stains just can’t be corrected, due to permanent damage and distortion for example where the actual fibre chemistry has been changed.

Step 1: Inspect, Identify and Test

We start by inspecting the area where the spot/stain is located, we then identify if the spot or stain is water-based or oil based and distinguish what sort of spot or stain we are treating by carrying out a few tests. Analysing the carpet or fabric fibres fully, inspecting the current condition and history, fibre damage and potential permanent stains. We carry out specialist tests to ensure we prevent, shrinkage, distortion, and dye bleeds.

Step 2: Set Up, Protection and Pre-vacuum

Whilst setting up for the clean, we ensure we protect your other furnishings and carpet/flooring throughout. We then complete a thorough vacuum and use specialist tools to loosen and remove as much dry soil as possible and any residues.

Step 3: Cleaning Method, Deodorising Agent & Treatment of Spots and Stains

The correct cleaning method, tools and products are chosen from our stain treatment and removal kit. We then start the treatment of improving the appearance and removing the stain, removing any bacteria and odours if required depending on which type of stain we are dealing with, we can also disinfect the area professionally. We methodically use a variety of methods to treat the stain.

Step 4: Post Groom

We restore your carpet/fabric with a neutralising rinse if required and brush/groom the area.

Step 5: Post Cleaning Assessment

We will discuss with you the stains appearance and the cleaning results and make sure that you are completely pleased with our work and provide you with some aftercare advice. You can opt for our stain protection service as an additional cost to help protect against future household stains. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know during this time. We want to be sure that you are 100% pleased before we leave.

Carpet and Fabric Stain Protection

This innovative specialist stain protection is an extra service we provide for our customers. We use an advanced fluorocarbon wool safe protector, designed especially for both carpet and upholstery fabrics. We apply this protector evenly onto the surface of your carpet or upholstery and always apply the protector after we have completed the cleaning of your carpet or upholstery. The protector works by coating the fibres and once dried it then acts as an invisible barrier that repels water-based and oil-based stains and repels dry soils. If a spillage occurs, it enables you the customer to soak up the spillage before it penetrates the fibre causing a stain. The nature of the shield also means dirt particles do not cling to the fibres as easily, decreasing fibre wear and soil abrasion. This aids for easier vacuuming for the customer and it can also help protect against UV discoloration.

Biocidal Sanitiser & Anti Microbial Cleaning Treatment (disinfects, cleans, and destroys numerous bacteria and viruses)

Hot water extraction cleaning kills harmful bacteria as hot water, steam and solutions are driven into the fibres with extremely high pressure. However, even with the deepest professional cleaning method, bacteria and viruses can remain, especially in environments that are exposed to heavier soiling and stains, such as medical clinics, doctor surgeries, care homes and nursery schools, or even our beloved pets can cause accidents that can leave bacteria. All these factors can contribute to hazardous microorganisms.

At Invictus Professional Cleaning we can apply a biocidal sanitiser and anti microbial disinfectant cleaner to the fibres of your carpet or upholstery, killing 99.999%. The specialist solutions we use can clean, sanitise, and disinfect, killing bacteria and viruses, as they have a wide range of antimicrobial biocides. The anti microbial biocides are approved to European test standards EN1276 and EN14476, EN13697, EN1650. They can kill harmful organisms such as bacteria including E Coli, MRSA, Listeria, Salmonella, Legionella, and viruses including hepatitis B, HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Coronavirus, Ebola, Measles and Norovirus. It can also help prevent and reduce fungi, algae, mould and mildew, minor infestations such as dust mites and flea. The solutions we use also deodorise and neutralise, leaving your carpet and furnishings thoroughly clean, disinfected, and smelling fresh.

End of tenancy and deep cleaning is one of our most popular services that we carry out, we work hard to return rental properties back to the required standards, carrying out a deep clean to the entire property.

We have our own specifications we work to; however, we are also able to follow cleaning inventories as specified by inventory administrators, landlords and letting agents, ensuring that we meet both our high standards and any bespoke requirements you may have. It is advisable to inform us of any tricky areas or places in your home that you feel may need extra special and specific cleaning before our visit.

  • A landlord needs to see their property in a good condition and returned to a high "return standard" at the end of a tenancy (as is often outlined in letting agreements).
  • A tenant will often invest in an end of tenancy clean for the following purposes; so that a holding deposit is returned, as a gesture of goodwill towards the landlord or new tenant or because they would rather not carry out what can be a long, stressful, and difficult clean themselves.

The main benefits of hiring an experienced professional end of tenancy cleaning service are:

  • High standards - the cleaning service is carried out to a professional and high standard to help ensure the return of your rental deposit.
  • Stress-free - it removes the stress out of having to carry out a deep clean yourself - at an already busy and stressful time.
  • Saves you time - as mentioned this type of clean is not only difficult but cleaning a whole property from top to bottom takes hours.
  • Saves you money - we offer great prices for the high-quality standard of work we do and as we arrive fully prepared, you don't need to worry about buying products or hiring in equipment. We believe the cost of our tenancy cleaning service is excellent value for money.

Stroller, Pram and Car Seat Cleaning

Here at Invictus Professional Cleaning, as we are a family run business, with our own children, as much as we love our children to the point where words cannot describe, we also fully understand that children often cause accidental stains and unpleasant odours in their prams, strollers, and car seats. They spend a vast amount of their time during their early years in these travel systems and frequently making a mess. Humidity and being exposed to other elements can cause these travel systems to harbour germs and harmful bacteria.

Having children, us parents rarely have that additional time to clean and sanitise a complex travel system. It can be unhealthy and unhygienic for the children to be rested in their pram, stroller, or car seat without having it cleaned, so let us clean it for you. Our service includes the following:

Step 1: A thorough vacuum using our industrial strength vacuum

Step 2: Pre-spray treatment using child safe products, this helps break down and loosen soils, this is then worked in using our specialist machine

Step 3: Spot and Stain treatment clean (optional extra- for heavily soiled items with spots and stains)

Step 4: Extract and rinse, using child safe products, a full steam clean using our Airflex Upholstery & Spotting Machine

Step 5: Frame and wheels are cleaned and polished, the basket is also cleaned

Step 6: A professional biocidal product is applied that will disinfect and destroy bacteria and viruses (optional extra)

Step 7: We can use specialist air movers that will speed up the drying time of your pram, stroller, and car seat.
